Lourdes Chaparro
FOUNDER AND CEO

FOUNDER & CEO
Lourdes Chaparro, founder and CEO of Chaparros Tamales, was born in Mexico City and raised by her older brothers and sisters. Her story embodies the true spirit of the American Dream. Her determination overcame every obstacle, from language barriers to lack of resources.In 1990, Lourdes moved to Utah, where she married and welcomed her son, Gustavo. Knowing she was destined for more, she began crafting her now-famous tamales and selling them to family and friends.

Her passion quickly evolved into a vision, and in 2000, she officially founded Chaparros Tamales.What began as a humble venture has grown into a highly respected brand recognized for its quality and authenticity. Through excellence, resilience, and dedication, Lourdes has led Chaparros Tamales into major retailers such as Walmart, WinCo, Kroger, and more. Today, Chaparros products can be found across 27 states in the Western U.S., with expansion to the East Coast currently underway.Lourdes is committed to inspiring other women to pursue their dreams fearlessly.
Her message is simple: if she could achieve it, anyone can.Outside of her leadership role, Lourdes enjoys spending time with family and friends. Her deep faith in God drives her to help others, including traveling to Mexico to support families and children in need. She also enjoys reading and spending time outdoors.

Gustavo Martinez
VICE PRESIDENT
Gustavo Martinez, Vice President of Chaparros Tamales, was born and raised in Utah. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Weber State University in 2019. Gustavo has been part of the Chaparros legacy since his teenage years, working part-time in the kitchen and learning every aspect of the business from the ground up. His hands-on experience has given him a deep understanding of the company’s production process and its evolution over the years.
Gustavo played a key role in modernizing and strengthening the company’s operations overseeing licensing, accounting, training, compliance, and administrative systems to ensure Chaparros Tamales remains efficient and future focused. Working closely alongside Lourdes, Gustavo brings strategic insight and financial guidance that have supported the company’s expansion. Thanks to his leadership and vision, Chaparros Tamales successfully acquired its own manufacturing facility and continues to grow into new markets.
Gustavo enjoys cooking and trying new recipes is a delight to him. Gustavo is married to Idania, they have a strong faith in God, and they are active members of their church. They enjoy an active lifestyle with their two dogs, Savanna and Bella. Hiking, biking, and spending time outdoors are among their favorite pastimes.
Daniel F. ConformeGerente
GENERAL MANAGER

Daniel F. Conforme is the General Manager of Chaparros Tamales, a position he has held since 2021, after joining the company in 2020. He was born on April 2, 1990, in Portoviejo, ManabÃ, Ecuador.He completed his studies in Ecuador and in 2016 graduated from the Eloy Alfaro Lay University of ManabÃ, earning a law degree from the courts and tribunals of the Republic of Ecuador.
Throughout his time at Chaparros Tamales, Daniel has demonstrated strong leadership and a firm commitment to operational excellence. He works closely with Lourdes and Gustavo to ensure high production standards and that every team member performs their duties efficiently and responsibly. His approach is based on continuous improvement, organization, and teamwork.
He holds various courses and certifications in nutrition, which support his strategic and operational decisions within the company. His constant interest in leadership development has allowed him to guide his team toward the growth and sustained success of the brand.Daniel is married and has two children. In his free time, he enjoys sports and maintains a strong interest in politics, constitutional law, and leadership-related topics.
